Anthem Awards 2024 – Bronze in New York
Our project “Alternate Re[AI]lity: Computer History circa 1890” is the bronze winner of the Anthem Awards global competition! We earned a prize for the best, most innovative or effective use of artificial intelligence and/or machine learning to raise awareness for an Education, Art & Culture program or project.
“The Anthem Awards honors the purpose & mission-driven work of people, companies and organizations worldwide. By amplifying the voices that spark global change, we’re defining a new benchmark for social impact work that inspires others to take action in their own community. Determined by over 8,000 jury reviews by the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences and over 47,000 votes cast by the impact community, this year’s Winners represent the teams behind the most impactful work of the year.”
There are eight categories, and we immediately recognized ours easily. It was a truly pleasant surprise and a great honor to see that we were among the group of awardees with world-famous names like MoMa, The Aerospace Corporation, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Brooklyn Museum, Smithsonian Institution, Norman Rockwell Museum, TED, George Lucas Educational Foundation and The City University of New York.
The creative director of the project is Kirill Karnovich-Valua from the Slovenian studio Digital da Vincis, and the process from the PEEK&POKE side was carried out by Davor Pasarić, director of the Rijeka multimedia studio Kreativni odjel. The entire PEEK&POKE team would like to express their special gratitude to the Digital da Vincis studio, which did its best to ensure that this story has such a beautiful ending!
